Carbondale Assembly For Radical Equity

About Us

What is CARE?

Carbondale Assembly for Radical Equity (CARE) is a broad coalition of activists, organizers, and community members who live and work in the greater Carbondale, Illinois area. CARE envisions Carbondale as a resilient and welcoming refuge for all.

CARE participants have differing backgrounds, approaches, and opinions, but the common goal is to care for each other, support and empower individuals, and work together to resist fascism and other forms of oppression.

What does CARE do?

CARE facilitates mutual aid projects and helps community members build relationships with each other—all with the goal of empowering individuals and creating positive change in southern Illinois.

How can I get involved?

CARE meets every 2 weeks at the Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center in Carbondale.

CARE hosts events and fundraisers throughout the year. Find us on Facebook or Instagram (@carbondalecares) to see what we’re up to next!
